Blast from the past
Anyone that knows me well has watched different projects I designed come to life. From a stack of wood, or a block of clay, something always seems to evolve.
I have been creating and designing some sort of art all my life I remember as a very young child being in the wood shop with my father and grandfather cutting shaping and sanding some sort of project. Over the years things have evolved from basic woodworking to furniture, then adding carvings to the furniture. But there was always the need and drive to push the envelope, to do something different. The artist side of me was always yearning to come out, and that is when I started to sculpt. This drive pushes me to this day to never stop learning, designing and creating. My new artistic addiction is oil painting, when will it ever stop, Never!
I have documented many of these projects over the years and will be sharing them with you here on “Blast From The Past
The first evolution of breaking out of the box, of making a square box and putting on a square door, was to start using natural elements such as logs and applying carvings.
When the addition of carvings started, this would take me down a road to a wonderful, creative world.
The animal track carving idea was a popular detail I still use on new projects.
As you can see the importance of good photography was not been high on the priority list.
I will be (trying) to do a post once a week of past work. I hope you will follow along.
